TATTOO REMOVAL

TCA is medically proven for tattoo removal and is used by physicians and estheticians world wide. This same solution may now be applied by consumers in the privacy of their homes at a fracton of the office cost. TCA removes tattoos and permanent makeup by generating a controlled inflammation to the top layers of skin. The effect is similar to laser which uses heat to generate the inflammation. After approximately one week, the outer layers of skin will peel off, taking with it a portion of the tattoo pigment. The TCA Peel (Trichloroacetic Acid), a medium peel, is one of the gold standards for treatment of various skin conditions. Trichloroacetic Acid chemical peel treatments can be used in varying concentrations from as low as 10% to as high as 50% -- The higher the concentration, the deeper the peel. When used in a controlled fashion, TCA peels produce a significant reduction of fine lines, acne scars, and discolorations, along with improving collagen and elastin in the skin. It will lighten or even diminish shallow tattoos (depending on darkness and depth of tattoo). A medium TCA peel will produce a deeper penetration, causing the skin to peel, whereas lighter peels (Glycolic, Lactic, etc.) cause a light flaking. The draw back to a deeper peel is that it causes the skin to appear to have a severe sunburn for about one week. A person having a medium TCA chemical peel must stay out of the sun and the treated area protected with ointment for one week or longer.

TCA is formulated in a purified water base, so you can always weaken the solution to fit your skin type or condition. Once the TCA peel treatment is completed, you can expect to shed the dead, outer layer of skin for approximately three days. Your skin may peel more than once. Following this you can expect your skin to be completely healed within ten to fourteen days. At that time you will notice improvement in the appearance of your skin, which will have less wrinkles, blemishes, and pigmentation problems. You will also notice a healthy glow as your face appears radiant and shining.

TCA is a deeper peel than most of the superficial peels that just cause the skin to lightly flake. Because it is a deeper treatment, your "downtime" will be approximately 7-10 days. During this time of peeling and healing, you will be required to keep your facial skin moist with an antibacterial ointment. After you are healed, use of a quality sunblock for at least 30 days is very important since you are initially much more sensitive to harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
